Meriq is a private AI platform built for people who want powerful AI access without being tracked. Your conversations aren't logged, retained for training, or shared with anyone. Beyond standard chat, we offer deep research, agent mode, image generation, file analysis, and an artifact studio.

By default, conversations exist only in your browser. If you turn on the optional cloud vault, they're synced with end-to-end encryption using a key derived from your own credentials — we have no way to read vault contents without your active session. You can switch between local-only and cloud storage at any time from Settings. Disabling the vault removes all encrypted vault data from cloud storage, so existing conversations are wiped from our servers and will not be restored when you re-enable it.

No, and that's a hard rule — not a setting you have to configure. Your prompts, responses, and uploaded files are never used for model training. This applies to everyone, regardless of plan.

Meriq gives you access to a wide range of AI models, from fast everyday chat models to deep reasoning models built for complex tasks. You can switch between them mid-conversation without losing your thread.

Meriq detects refusals automatically. If a model declines your request, your quota is credited back and you have the option to try again. All usage is still subject to the Terms of Service.

Meriq can generate images with built-in prompt refinement that helps you get better results from your descriptions. Image generation is included on paid plans, with daily limits that scale with your tier.

You can attach PDFs, images, code files, and documents to any message. Meriq reads the contents and factors them into its response. Uploaded files aren't retained after your session ends.

Deep research is our autonomous research feature. Give it a topic and it builds a structured research plan, searches across multiple sources, reads the relevant pages, and comes back with a fully cited report — all without you needing to guide it step by step.

Agent mode lets the AI actually do things, not just talk about them. It can write and run code (Python, JavaScript, or Bash), browse the web, and read and write files — all inside an isolated sandbox. The workspace resets after each session, so nothing carries over.

To remove cloud-stored conversations, delete them from your conversation list or delete your account entirely.
